EE886 was airborne at 0110 on the 14th Jul 1943 from Mepal. Returning to Oakington at 0435, a flat tyre caused the undercarriage to collapse and before coming to a halt the Stirling over-turned.
This was one of the planes NOT on the original list of casualties, I believe Srgnt Viccars, who is buried at Southend On Sea deserves to be listed here, along with his fellow crew members who were hurt.
