Jospeph Marsh was born on the sixth of December 1920, the son of Joseph and Ellen Marsh of Upholland, near Wigan in Lancashire

We actually know very little about Joe, and I wish now that I had spent more time with my Nan, Gladys asking her questions about her brother.

My mum Shirley can remember seeing him when he came home, how tall he seemed to her, and how smart he looked in his RAF uniform.

I will be getting two very nice photo's of Joe of my mum and dad soon and I will add them here when I do.

Below and on the right is the memorial at Runneymede for all those who have lost their lives and yet have no known grave, Joe's name is amongst the other 20,000 names!
