I set up this web site some ten years ago, and it turned into a huge site full of information exposing the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society as an organization that lies to its members again and again and again.
I have just got the site back up on line and am editing as fast as I can all the info pages we used to have.

As you go through the articles you will see there is a lot about what the society tauaght back in the days of Russell and Rutherford, however;- my aim here was never to give a full history of the WBTS. There are lots of books that do that in great detail, but if you really want to know this stuff have a Google for History of the Watchtower and Bible Tract Society, that will give you lots to go at.

 

"But where do I start?"...

Well, good question and there is no easy answer. To be honest I would start by reading web pages that detail the current teachings and beliefs of the WT. You can't help to put anyone right until you have an understanding of where that person is going wrong!

Again I could have done this myself, but others already have so why bother.... just don't get lost on Matt's web site because it's HUGE!

Once you know at least some of these things.. and I stress the word KNOW.. have them 'off pat' so to speak.. then you can start to look at how to answer some of these wrong doctrines held and taught by the WT.

One thing I MUST write here...

Many EX JW's state that the most frustrating thing for them now.. as believers in Christ, was the amount of Christians they came across whilst in 'field service' that A) failed to show any love to them, B) had any knowledge of what they (the JW) believed, C) had any answers for them other than, 'I'll pray for you'.

It's very sad that most Christians really can't be bothered to learn this stuff.. I wonder what God thinks about that?

1 Peter 3:15; But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

If you dedide to be one of the few Christians that want to try and reach those trapped in the Watchtower then you are now faced with choices when it comes to what you say to them when they knock on your door.

1) Addressing doctrinal mistakes, differences to orthadox Christianity.
2) Showing errors in the NWT (New World Translation). You will almost certainly need a WT publication called a K.I.T., Kingdom Interlinear Translation.
3) Pointing out the numerous false prophecies - changes in doctrine/ flip flops.
4) Giving your person testimony. No one on earth can ever argue against what God has done in your life.

There are times when one or more of the above will be where the Holy Spirit leads you, however I am now starting to use something I have recently learnt from Don Cameron. It all goes around "The One Mistake All Jehovah's Witnesses Have Made".

I have Don's book and it really is brilliant. It takes some time to understand everything in it if you are new to Watchtower teachings etc, but it really is quite simple and I believe the idea Don has really will work.

2 Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are holding to your faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test! I hope you will find out that we have not failed.

Ephes 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

UPDATED 7th Feb 2010: I have been delivering now for over two weeks solid and we have had some contacts. I'm not going to name names on here, these folks know who they are and most of them are not in a position to have their details made public.

Please do pray though that God would give me the correct words to say to these folks and that the Lord would also open up more opportunities to share the gospel with those who were once in the Org, thanks.

I have recently suscribed to several You Tube posters who really do have a brilliant take on counter cult ministries... most of them are involved with sush ministries.

Shazoolo, JWMediaFilms and WTComments are by far the best that I have found so far.. you can see a link to one of them below.

 

What I wanted to post here was the info contained in one of those posts because is has to be about as up to date as you are going to get. It's not new stuff though, it's actually something we have seen many, many times over the years... the attempt by the Watchtower to control its members thinking. Nov 15th 2009 Watchtower (STUDY EDITION).

This is the WT that the members get, NOT the one that the public get.

"The spirit that now operates in the sons of disobedience" is so widespread that it is like the air that we breathe. (Eph 2:2). That spirit can cause us to think that we do not need guidance from Jehovah's organization. Surely we do not want to be like the Diotrephes, who would not 'receive anything from the apostle John with respect'. We need to guard against developing a spirit of independance. By word or action may we never challenge the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today. On the contrary we should cherrish our prililege to cooperate wit the slave class. And should we not strive to be obediant and submissive to those taking the lead in our local congregation?

 

To quote Shazoolo, How are you ever going to find out if the Watchtower is not of God if you are not allowed in any way to question them??

This is exactly how the Moonies, the Mormons and many other cults keep their members - you are not allowed to question them.. isn't this exactly what is written in the Nov WT mag?

I am going to try and get a photocopy of the above from Shaz to post here just so we can all prove they have written this... remember the person on the street will NOT get to see this!!!
