A house known as 'The Haven' was badly damaged, as was the front of June Cottage. A four year old little girl was slightly hurt.
The force of the crash also fractured water mains in the area, as well as bringing down electricity cables.
We have been contacted by Alex's cousin Roy Walker who sent us the photo to the right of Alex at the family home in all his gear.
In the coming weeks I will be adding a list of missions that Alex went on that have been taken from ORB's.
You can read abouit Alex on Ed Cooke's pages.
As you can see from the photo, the two of them were very good friends and I know that Ed misses him deeply.
Alex Jaggers on the left, and Ed Cooke.
The photo below is from when Alex and Ed were training together I believe at Kinloss in Scotland.
Since the war, five pews in Kirton Parish Church have been named in remembrance of the crew.
