Dad was a tail-end charlie and Chris has put his details on the main website.
Dad flew two tours of ops, first with 101 Squadron and then with 102 squadron.
He survived the war, he was transferred to Admin (I think at Rufforth - not sure) and after demob returned to Co. Durham and settled down near the NE coast. He died on 22nd December 1975 aged 65.
Unfortunately I never asked questions and Dad never talked about his war effort so I am only now (since December 2011) picking up details. My family sent for his service records as a Christmas present which started my journey.
