Interestingly the aircraft at the front of painting is LW179 DY-E so it must be set during the summer of 1944 where it carried the ID letter 'E' . LW179 FTR from Operation to Magdeburg 16-01-45 and was coded DY-Y at that point.

This is the print that I got the guys to sign. It is on the wall at the Wolds Gliding Club. A guy called Tim Cope researched its life and wrote a booklet about it called 'Eve' She was special to us' - ISBN 1 903833 54 X. I sent out many copies to the signaturees (?) but I don't have any left. Tim Cope can be contacted at 10 Queen Street, Love Lane, Pontefract, West Yorks. - Tel 07766266333.
