Our Plans for Remembrance Day

Postby ChrisInBlackpool » Tue Oct 04, 2011 7:50 pm

Thought this needed its own thread...

A number of us are starting to make plans for this years upcoming Remembrance Day.

We have been in contact with the Vicar of Barmby Moor Church, St. Catherines and she is VERY intersted in accommodating 102 Squadron Association members within the service due to be held on the 13th Nov starting at 10.45.

If anyone else is thinking of going along to Pocklington for Remembrance Day could you please let the webmaster know?

The reason is we are hoping that a member of the association, or at least some one with a connection to the Squadron will be on hand to turn over the book held at the church of those who were lost during the war years.
It woulld obviously be very nice if this could be one of the 'old chaps'.

If anyone would like the webmaster to lay flowers at any of the graves at St. Catherines, or at the memorial at Pocklington Airfield, again could you contact me A.S.A.P. so that we can arrange something.

We do have a mobile no you can call or text which is just for the web site: 07989197436.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Chris

Mark,
Yes of course you can turn up.. I'd try to get to st Catherines a little earlier than 10.45, and no I have no more details than what I posted the other day.

I am phoning round a few people just to let them know we are going to be there and so far one or two are saying they will keep it in mind.

When i get more I will post on here.
