It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Flying Officer Francis Alfred Philip Hoskins DFC at the grand age of 93.
We have little details of Francis's time with 102, only that he was gazetted on the 27th Dec 1943 we are looking into this and hope to be able to give more details very soon.

Francis lived in Bristol for 60 years, and worked as the publican of the Kings Arm's for many years. His funeral will be held in Weston Super Mare on the 26th September 2011. If anyone has any details of Francis's time with 102, or you would like details of the funeral would you please contact the WEBMASTER, and we will pass on your request to the family.

I am sure we speak for the whole of the 102 Squadron Association when we say how deeply sorry we are hear of Fg Off Hoskins passing, much love and grace to all the family at this sad time.

We now have details of 20 raids that Frank did with 102, and details of these will go on his page under the Memories tab of the web site.
For the memory of everyone who served with 102 Ceylon Squadron,
but mostly for the 1,027 in two World Wars who never came home.
Lest we never forget. http://www.102ceylonsquadron.co.uk
