Sgt Joseph Marsh 102 and 35 Squadron

Postby JoeMarsh13071943 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 4:41 pm

I'll write more here in the coming weeks and months but the 13th July is now a special date for my family who for many years did not know the date of Joe's passing.

Joe and the crew of HR819 went down close to Venlo in Holland after having been attacked by a nightfighter.

More to come soon

Sgt.George Ollerhead.102squadron and 194 squadron

My late grandad, George sadly passed away in 2005 after fighting cancer.
He volunteered to the R A F at 20 years of age in 1941, and served with 102 squadron in 43, taking part in 29 sorties as a WOP/AG, before moving onto 194 squadron and transport command.
His memory still lives on through his family and this fantastic site...regards Mark.
