Second row, second from the left. (Left from the viewer's perspective)
We'll send some more photos through tomorrow; It'll be our ANZAC Day "event" this year.

Always very emotional for me looking at this photograph; Particularly today.
Like my grandfather, at least 30% of these brave young men would have almost certainly lost their lives on operations during the war.
Lest We Forget.
ANZAC Day 2012.

I'm with you on that thought Doug. Every time I look at a group shot. Also I honour anybody who fought at Gallipoli. I did a bit of research once into a namesake of mine who was killed and buried on Gallipoli. What an awful, messed up campaign THAT was. The ANZACs fought like lions but were beaten by bad communications and conditions. The chap I found is buried in Hill 10 cemetery and I will visit him someday - Bill Leyland KIA 1/11/1915. Anyone who fought there has my utmost respect.
Regards, Bill.

Thanks Bill. Though a military failure, the Gallipoli campaign is considerred by all Australians and New Zealanders as a rather heroic emergence of our countries as independant nations of the British Commonwealth. "Gallipoli" is a very respected word around here!

Doug,
I'm a bit thick at times.... please forgive me... I am wondering if you have looked on Ed Cooke's page... if not I think you probably need too... you'll see why when you get there... a photo of Skelfield hse.. and of a Whitley crew.
All the best
And I am taking that you mean second row up.. second in??

Yes. He is the man a little shorter in height than the men on either side of him. Perhaps you could help me in navigating this site? (I know more about brain surgery and the physics of rocket science than I do about pcs!) Is Ed Cooke's page on this site?
Thanks, Doug.

Doug, dont worry.. I think we are starting to be guilty of getting so large, and also so used to knowing where things are on the site that we just take for granted that everyone knows what to do.
All the members of 102 who have told us their stories, or who we have managed to get info on, are held within the Memories tab at the top of the main web site... NOT here on the forum.
If you go there, and then look on the left hand side there is a list of letters.. A-C etc etc.. you will find Ed's story under the C's... or I could save you the trouble and just paste the link here...

Does anyone know roughly which month this would have been taken?
