I know you have so much to do.. already.. but one more please for the to do pile.

I may be able to give you a list of Ops later tonight.. but the last one these boys did is below:

Not sure I have seen too many of Newlands ops, and I have no idea if Cyril was with him all the time, but I have been contacted by his grand daughter and so I thought I would post and see what we can do for her family.

Hi Chris,
Do you or any members own yearly copies or a full set of Chorley's wonderful volumes?
By chance I've borrowed !942, 1943 and 1944 from the library today so I can add the following info:

Squadron Code is DY-L and it was a Halifax II.
Chorley says "T/o 1925 Pocklington. Hit by flak and crashed in the target area. Those who died were taken to the Nordfriedhof at Dusseldorf and buried on 16 March. Their graves are now in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery."
