If you havra request please place it here and then PLEASE BE PATIENT as it takes a lot of time and effort.

Dear All.. (no idea why I write that when only Neil has what I need... :) ... waves to Mr neil... )

I've made Ron's page up and I am hoping that we can get at least one or two ORB's with his name on them.. cause the ones I have from 45 show nothing at all...

Thanks EVERYONE.. :)

Chris

PS, please can no one post the plane photo's any where else as I will be doing that soon.. thanks
For the memory of everyone who served with 102 Ceylon Squadron,
but mostly for the 1,027 in two World Wars who never came home.
Lest we never forget. http://www.102ceylonsquadron.co.uk

Again - sorry for the delay. Unfortunately I shudder a little when it comes to the ORBs from 1945 - a significant part are virtually unreadable!. However have found him and the crew.

As the target photo shows he was part of the McVicar crew, who was an Australian. The aircraft that they flew on the Op to Cologne (02/03/45) was a Halifax VI PP179 which FTR on Ops to Witten 19/03/45.

On 1/2-2-45 they flew Halifax MZ426 on Ops to Mainz.

The crew comprised of (as far as I can best make out!) -

P/O A McVicar (Australian)
Sgt K Lewis?
Sgt R C Walker
P/O C W Turvey (Australian)
Sgt V. D. Wiggins
Sgt A G Gardener?
Sgt S R Bridges

As said hard to decipher but done the best...........

Cheers

Neil
