Lest we forget - Fred Hooker

Postby Neilw » Sat Jan 19, 2013 11:19 am

Just finished reading this book by Fred Hooker, he was an Airgunner on Halifax MZ699 which was shot down on Ops to Munster 12/09/44. A really good personal insight covering training, time on the squadron, memories of Operations and his time as a POW and his return to the UK.

Recommended read although I believe private publishing so may be more difficult to get hold of

Just to say that Fred has just let me know that he has a few more copies left - would recommend this as an addition for anyone who has an interest in 102/4 Group or Halifax crews - please PM/Email me if interested.

Cheers
