102 (Ceylon) Squadron Association Reunion 2013

This is advance notice of this year's Squadron Reunion to be held, as usual, at Pocklington on July 20th/21st 2013.

The order of events will be as before with a dinner at the Wolds Gliding Club.

I will be sending out booking forms with the next newsletter when I obtain prices for the dinner together with details of local B & Bs.

We are sending out the newsletter to members only from now on but we do not limit this weekend to members so if you would like to know more please contact me for a booking form.

If you are not able to come to the dinner then friend and relatives of the Squadron are welcome at the Gliding Club on the Sunday morning. We have a short service and lay wreaths at the Squadron Memorial followed by refreshments in the clubhouse.

Dear Members and friends of 102 Squadron,

This is a reminder that the 102 Squadron Reunion will be held on the weekend of 20th/21st July 2013. The cost of the dinner is £20.00 per person

Our speaker this year is Philip Jackson who designed and built the statues in the Bomber Command Memorial in London. His father also served with 102 (Ceylon) Squadron

The order of events is as follows:

The annual meeting of the Association is at Pocklington Arts Centre at 2.00pm on Saturday 20th July.

The reunion dinner is at the Wolds Gliding Club, The Airfield, Pocklington, East Yorkshire, YO42 1NP at 6.30 for 7.00pm on the Saturday evening.

There will be a short service at the Squadron Memorial at 12.15pm on the Sunday followed by light refreshments in the clubhouse.

Please email me with an addresss for a copy of the booking form for the reunion if you would like to come.

With Philip Jackson coming this will be quite a special occasion; I do hope you can come.
